UNK project is in TOP-10 architectural bureaus of competition on development of the concept of NCCA

Architectural bureau UNK project became one of ten participants of the second stage of the International competition on development of the architectural concept of museum exhibition complex of the State center of the modern art on the Hodynsky field. In total 250 application forms from 59 countries of the world were submitted for consideration of jury.
The company entered the number of winners of the first stage of competition in the category “Sketch”, having submitted the innovative architectural concept of future museum. Two more architectural bureaus from Russia and 8 representatives from China, Italy, Spain, Ireland, Belgium, Chile and the USA also got to a short list.
“The fact that we got to ten of the most fashionable, actual and demanded architects with a world name is a big achievement itself”, Yuliy Borisov , the chief architect and the cofounder of UNK project comments. “First of all, it means the high creative potential of our architects who can already compete with recognized maestros of architecture”.
Creation of the model of new NCCA has to become the result of the second stage of competition. Together with the model participants have to provide the architectural concept, including a constant museum exposition, the territory for thematic expositions, a theatrical concert hall on 700 places and lecture halls.
Experts will start estimating works on November 29. At the beginning of December the jury of competition and NCCA supervisory board led by Vladimir Medinskiy and Sergey Sobyanin will nominate three finalists. The name of the winner will be decided until the end of 2013.
