UNK project won "silver" in competition on the project of "Sportmaster" headquarters

Today the results of the International closed competition on the architectural concept of headquarters of the Sportmaster and O'stin companies were summed up. Creative Union "Reserve" became the winner, UNK project was the second and the British practice Aukett Swanke Hayden Connell Architects was the third.

Under the terms of competition participants had to develop the architectural concept of a complex of two office buildings on the site of 2.45 hectares located at the address: Moscow, 3rd Magistralnaya Street, Building 18. In the design contestants had to consider ideology of the companies and visual images of brands.
The architectural concept of buildings suggested by the team of UNK project practice led by Yuliy Borisov represents the inclined parallelepiped displaced aside which is standing on an independent platform. The image component found the reflection on building facades: the glazed surfaces with two lines of debris form one of the company symbolic in the form of a letter "M" and add dynamism to architecture. The main entrances "are covered" with the hanging building volume thanks to what the public buffer zones protected from rainfall are formed. The architectural concept is developed taking into account modern requirements for energy efficiency of buildings.

"It is one of the few examples of construction of own headquarters by the private company in Russia. Considering that the project is located in one of the central regions of Moscow, it was important not only to create the original architectural concept meeting tastes and requirements of the customer company but also to plot a vector for the development of this territory. We were happy to reach the final of competition together with such reputable companies the participation of which testifies to the high professional level of the action", – Yuliy Borisov noted.
