On Friday, June 7, the UNK Group presented, after the restoration of the facade, the Sherwood City Estate, a monument of cultural heritage, which is located in the Donskoy district of Moscow at 15 Malaya Kaluzhskaya Street, building 5, and is the headquarters of UNK. The total area of the building is 1,500 square meters.
The Sherwood Manor is a two-storey stone building in the pseudo-Russian style, built in 1911 according to the project of Nikolai Butusov. At the beginning of the last century, Vladimir Sherwood, the creator of the Historical Museum on Red Square, lived in it.
The fabulous teremok aroused great interest. The event brought together leaders from different industries: development, architecture, design, engineering, manufacturing, banking, energy. The guests of the evening thanked the creative team of UNK for recreating the unique appearance of the historical mansion, congratulated the company on its 25th anniversary, as well as on receiving the high professional award "Architect of the Year".
The UNK team was tasked with the most careful transformation of a historic mansion with an ancient facade. According to the authors' idea, it was important to recreate a fabulous teremok, richly decorated with stucco, from the outside, and to make a minimalistic and technological space inside. The unique appearance of the building and the direct reference to the national antiquity became both a complexity and a unique feature of the project. Now the Teremok has become an attractive attraction and decoration of the historical district for residents and visitors of the city.
Given the historical and cultural value of the place and the brightness of the architecture, the nature of the landscaping is concise. The decoration was an apple tree, which was planted by Yuli Borisov and his family in honor of the revival of the garden of the Sherwood Estate.
